About the
market

Asian Night Market is a one-night festival of food, games and performances at BASIS Chandler, organized by the school’s National Chinese Honor Society and run by its student clubs.

The story

Night markets are where much of Asia eats, shops and catches up after dark. We wanted to bring that feeling to Chandler for one evening.

Every booth is planned, decorated and staffed by a BASIS Chandler club or class. Some sell food, some run games, and some share a craft. Student performers fill the lawn with music as the sun goes down.

The market is open to everyone. You don’t need to go to BASIS to come, and getting in is free.

Where the money goes

After each booth’s expenses are paid back, its profit is split evenly. Last year the market raised $10,718, and $5,359 of it went to our teachers.

After the market, NCHS and the school recount every booth’s tickets before the split is made.
